For the third time, Gemius has been chosen as the official provider of internet measurement in Hungary. 
Under the contract, the company will be sharing data with Hungarian customers on the viewership of websites from day to day. This is a new feature on the local market. The 5-year contract comes into effect in January 2018.

The Overnight methodology was honored in the IAB Europe Research Awards in 2016, with Gemius winning the trophy for the best research project in Europe.

Gemius has been conducting internet studies on the Hungarian market since 2007. The company began in Poland 18 years ago, and its solutions are now used in more than 30 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

The Polish company competed against TNS-Mediameter and Ipsos-DotMetrics in the Hungarian tender.

Gemius triumphs again in Hungary

For the third year in a row Gemius has won at the IAB Research Awards organized by the European online industry. The company was awarded the statuette for technology which provides comprehensive analysis of the online advertising market.
The prize was accepted on behalf of the company by Vesna Gordon, director of international sales and marketing at Gemius, and Marta Sułkiewicz, responsible for the development of gemiusAdReal study.

The selection of best research projects was decided by a jury consisting of Nick Hiddleston (ZenithOptimedia), Pierpaolo Guidi (Subito), Agnieszka Hoffmann (Millward Brown), Chechu Lasheras (PRISA), Tony Evans (Facebook), and Paweł Kolenda (IAB Poland, IAB Europe).

The statuette in this year's edition of the competition is now the third Gemius award from the European online industry. For three years in a row now, the company has consistently won at the IAB Europe competition. In 2016, Gemius won the prize for best research project which produces daily webpage view data overnight. In 2015, it was recognised for a methodology allowing publishers to discover their total reach across all devices.

In 1999 Gemius began in a Polish backyard as a start-up, to now – eighteen years later – be setting the trend and creating innovative solutions that are being used by companies around the world. Gemius technology is currently being used in more than 30 markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Recently Gemius began measuring the advertising market in Germany.

Gemius has been chosen by PBI as the official supplier of Polish internet studies.

On Tuesday 31 May the PBI shareholders made the decision to renew cooperation with Gemius. This means that, from June onwards, Gemius and PBI will be presenting joint results of Polish online audience measurement. The data will be published on both a daily and monthly basis.

The Gemius online audience measurement commissioned by PBI will incorporate all the functionalities implemented by Gemius in recent months, including the measurement of website viewership divided into PC and mobile, and the measurement of the total reach of websites and publishers regardless of device type, divided into PC traffic by location, i.e. home and office. The data will be shared with clients both on a daily and monthly basis.

The methodology of the online audience measurement being brought to the market by PBI and Gemius has been recognised by the European internet industry. It has already won Gemius two awards in a competition organised by IAB Europe – both for the methodology enabling the measurement of publishers’ total reach (IAB Research Awards, Berlin, 2015), and for the production of daily data (IAB Research Awards, Lisbon, 2016).

Reinstatement as the official suppliers of Polish online audience measurement is not Gemius’ only success in recent months. In March, the company launched a study on the video advertising market in Poland and Ukraine. In May, they won a tender for an online audience measurement in the Czech Republic.

Gemius received 2016 IAB prize for the best research product in Europe. 

The winning methodology allows for the production of daily data presenting website viewership data day by day (gemiusAudience with Overnight methodology). 
It’s the second time Gemius has won in this competition.

Piotr Ejdys, president of the company, beamed with joy. ‘The IAB Award is an evidence to the fact that the European internet sector appreciates our efforts and at the same time a culmination of many years of hard work. This is also the coping stone for the last three months of unusually intense work, because we have been doing our best to make our projects work in practice,’ said Ejdys and went on to list the projects that the company successfully implemented. ‘In March, we started a study on the video advertising market which launched in Poland and Ukraine. In May, we won a tender for internet research in the Czech Republic. In Poland, in turn, we implemented a few key solutions for the advertising industry. They include daily data made available overnight which tracks PC traffic at two locations, home and office, as well as by tablet or smartphone. But today, we published the first data that shows the complete reach of publishers and websites on all devices,’ Ejdys concluded with pride.

In this year’s edition, Gemius received two nominations for internet research solutions. The company also had a shot at the prize for the production of data about network viewership data on PCs split by home and office (Home and Work Multilocation Model).

The winners were announced at the Interact Congress in Lisbon (12 May). Vesna Gordon, head of sales and marketing, and Emil Pawłowski, chief science officer, accepted the prize on behalf of the firm. Gemius competed for the final award with three other companies. The jury included: Nick Niddleston (ZenithOptimedia), Paul Hardcastle (Yahoo!), Ariane Längsfeld (Millward Brown), Pawel Kolenda (IAB Poland) and Tuncay Yavuz (IAB Turkey, OMD Turkey).

Gemius’ win is yet another success in the IAB Europe Research Awards. In 2015, the company was awarded for its methodology project which allowed publishers to understand their complete network reach on all devices (Behavioral Panel Synthesis, BPS).

The IAB Europe Research Awards have been organized for the last six years. The jury grants prizes in 8 categories: Brand Advertising Effectiveness, Consumer Attitudes and Behaviour, Consumer Devices, Digital Advertising Formats, Advertising Solutions, Research and Data Innovation, Audience Measurement, Best Use of Research Budget.

Gemius wins again: 2016 IAB Europe Research Awards

Gemius has won the tender to be the official provider of Internet research to the Czech Republic, beating seven rivals from around the world. Local publishers will receive, among other things, data on total reach for all devices, ‘day-to-day’ data, and data on website traffic for workplace and household locations.
On Monday, May 2, the Czech Association for Internet Progress (SPIR), an industry organization, announced that Gemius would become the official provider of Internet data. The two-stage selection process began in 2015, with five candidates and seven companies (three of which presented a joint offer) taking part.

This was not Gemius’ first success on the Czech market. The company has been carrying out Internet research in the country for over 10 years. The selection of gemiusAudience (local name: NetMonitor) as the official source of Internet data will benefit the Czech advertising industry, with publishers, media houses, advertising agencies and advertisers gaining access to otherwise unattainable information on their position in the online world. Gemius will provide them with data on total reach on all devices, day-to-day data updates on Internet use (i.e. Monday's data provided on Tuesday, Tuesday's data provided on Wednesday, and so on), website browsing data for households and workplaces, and more.

‘I am convinced that the choice of our company was determined by the high quality of our services. Suffice to say that the Internet research methodology we presented in the Czech Republic in April this year received two nominations in the IAB Europe contest for best research project,’ said Piotr Ejdys, president of the Gemius Board.

‘On top of that, we have already successfully introduced website traffic research based on location (that is to say, household or workplace) in Belgium as part of an official Internet study, as well as in Poland. We also provide clients from these countries with ‘day-to-day’ data. Our success on the Czech market, one of a succession of such wins, is proof that we develop our products based on trends and our clients' needs,’ emphasized Ejdys.

‘We have been researching the Czech Internet for more than 10 years. Our offer has been chosen over the competition in every tender we have taken part in. This time, the battle was fierce and the tender process took more than six months,’ said Michał Fejk, head of Gemius in Czech, adding that, ‘We have no doubt that this new phase of research and innovation will bring further opportunities for market growth, and we will do all it takes to turn our latest success into benefits for our clients.’
